
In the absence of strives and unrest, freedom is mostly underrated.
Peace is mostly placed under compromise when all seems to be going well for humanity; but on a good note, an atmosphere of peace ensures that, our general livelihood ain’t threatened.
Ukraine has the best of hospitality for international students, offering them the best of academic disciplines, one quest that most ambitious students have garnered efforts to pursue.
Today, it really saddens one’s heart to see this great country under threat from the Russians.
Gradually, life is getting to a standstill in this part of the world; food supply, telecommunication, academic works, and other corporate activities are been cut off.
The thoughts of African students and other Western natives locked up in Ukraine also gives a cause for worry.
I understand currently, the outfit of NUGS has called on government to device a way to evacuate our students as tensions escalates; a good call as early as possible.
Perhaps issues like this should prompt government in ensuring that, our public universities receives the best of phase lifting, one that will ensure a congenial environment for both students and the academia.
The picture in your view shows that, as Russia began its invasion of Ukraine, lines of cars moved out of the capital, Kyiv, many heading west and hoping to find safety in parts of the country closer to Poland and NATO troops.
As issues crops up here and there, as tensions mount up from North, South, East, and West, may we never compromise on the peace and tranquility bestowed to us by God almighty, for it is indeed priceless.
